June 29th through July 1st, 2012
Oh the power of music! Some say it has the power to Soothe the Soul. Well we aim to do just that with the smooth and sultry sounds of jazz at the 2012 Chester County Jazz Festival. The festival theme is “Soothe your Soul” — Couldn’t you use some of that!
Come by the Asplundh Concert Hall on the campus of beautiful West Chester University on Friday evening to listen to the amazing sounds of mesmerizing smooth jazz guitarist Peter White for a paid event on Friday evening at the Asplundh Concert Hall. Opening up for Peter is Philly’s own Point Blank Jazz Band and warming up the crowd is celebrity impersonator and comedian C.P. Lacey. What a show!
The fun continues on Saturday and Sunday with free open air music and activities in Hoopes Park, West Chester, PA beginning each day at 11:00 a.m. Bring your entire family, lawn chair or blanket and relax on 16.2 acres to the sounds of some of the best international and local jazz talent in the business. There will be plenty for the entire family to see and do with activities for young children and teens.
The Producers of this event has selected two local non-profits to support during the Festival season. They are The Chester County Food Bank and The Stephen Chandler Ericson Foundation. A portion of the Festival proceeds will be donated by the Producers to these non-profits after the event so your support is greatly appreciated.
We hope to see you there!
